ABOUT THE PROJECT
The new website rorec.ro was developed for RoRec (The National Collection Network). RoRec offers you the opportunity to responsibly dispose of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) in a very easy way, by bringing it to RoRec drop-off points set up in institutions, companies, schools, to RoRec Collection Centers, or to our WEEE collection events.
The old website had tons of information which was not easy to read and that’s why it needed a change. Based on an analysis made by us with the customer, we came up with a mockup for the website with less text and easier to read. One of the most important issues was that the user would find the information that he needed in seconds. And this is possible in the new website.
Based on the mockup agreed with the customer, we made the design for each page, having always in mind that the info should be easy to find and read.
We decided to use the WordPress platform because the website should be very SEO friendly and the customer wanted to manage the content by himself. The WordPress layout that we designed was responsive so that the content would be easy to read on all sorts of devices: desktop computers, tablets and smartphone devices.
From the first page you can see the collection points near you (based on your GPS location detected by the browser) and you can find the nearest one where you can take the DEEE materials. Also, you can search by county, the collecting recycling actions that are planned in the next period.
